Angel kiss goodbye

Time jolted and the room snarled
Hope bolted out the door
Walls clutching at my heart and soul
Pulled me down to the floor

Whole place shaking as I lie face down
Smoke rising in the air
Chains jangling like a ghost in the night
I knew someone was there

Lifted my eyes to stare through the hatch
Into the darkening skies above
All I could feel was my poor heart thumping
To the beat of love

Then into my room she flew
Black hole eyes and fiery hair
That's when I knew I was doomed
To take my last breath there

She carried my soul across the water
Across the river and the sea
Gave me an angel kiss goodbye
And then she set me free
